The GenWeb Family

The GenWeb organization includes ILGenWeb (and all its counties), USGenWeb, and WorldGenWeb. USGenWeb was established in 1996, by a group of genealogists who shared a common goal of creating online databases in States and Counties for genealogical and historical research. Each website is created and maintained by volunteers like me, who provide genealogical and historical information for you to access from your home - for free! The GenWeb family is made up of volunteers - many of whom have spent decades assisting others with their research and uploading data onto their websites. WorldGenWeb is dedicated to providing genealogy and historical records and resources for world-wide access. 

I joined the Madison County ILGenWeb organization in 2008, and have been hard at work researching books, newspapers, and online resources to bring you the largest, indepth genealogical and historical database for Madison County, Illinois! On this website you will find thousands of obituaries (more are uploaded weekly), and the history of the county, towns, and its people.
